Westports Malaysia received three new Super Post Panamax Quay Crane capable of handling large vessels, from Mitsui E&S Machinery Co, Ltd, Japan on 21st September 2022. This is the first batch of a total of six cranes with the remaining 3 scheduled for delivery by mid of December 2022, which aims to improve the efficiency in the terminal and optimize our ability to service our customers.
Mr. Eddie Lee, CEO of Westports Malaysia officiate the ribbon-cutting ceremony today to mark the release of new cranes for container operation.
The cranes have a lifting capacity of 55 tons twin-lift, 38-meter lifting above seaside, weigh 1,100 tons, and are capable of handling containers over 21 rows (59.1 meters outreach).
